Biblical word study, “JOY”

Our Strength will come from the Joy of the Lord

Obeying God’s commands and following His wisdom enhances your Joy

Focusing on God’s presence enhances your Joy.

Psalm 30:5 & 11-12 weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. You turned my wailing into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever.

Spending Time in worship enhances your Joy

Psalm 51:12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Focusing on and remaining in Jesus’ and The Father’s Love will enhance your Joy.

John 16:22-24 So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.  In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

Prayer enhances your Joy. (Particularly praying for the things that Jesus desires for you!)

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
